    About Mateea:

“My name is Mateea Curea, I am a student at the Faculty of Letters, History and Theology, undergraduate studies, specialism: Languages and literatures, English and Romanian, in the 2nd year. My biggest passion is music, which I tend to interconnect with dance, writing, drawing and reading.

I applied for CODHUS for I saw it as an opportunity in trying something new. I’m always up for a challenge and I show interest in academic research. I’m a wandering spirit, but also a very determined person.”

  • Elena Farcaș

Elena Farcaș, 2nd year, BA student, Languages and Literatures (Romanian language and - English language)

    About Elena:

“I chose to continue the internship and become a volunteer in the CODHUS program because I discovered here a group of professional and devoted people, with whom I managed to capitalize on my potential, successfully fulfilling the tasks, which seemed dynamic and pleasant. At the same time, the project gave me the opportunity to get acquainted with the research work in the field of corpus linguistics, which in the meantime has become a passion. Interested in everything that the humanities mean in the online environment, I am currently working on a project that aims to analyze the discourse of vloggers in the BookTube space. CODHUS has therefore given me the opportunity to develop new skills, certainly beneficial to my academic and professional development, but also a new vision of what research is, proving that it can be strongly anchored in the current situation young people are interested in.”

  • Alexandra Mihăeș

Alexandra Mihăeș, 2nd year, BA student, Languages and Literatures (Romanian language - English language)

    About Alexandra:

“As far as I am concerned, this internship was more than bragging about a good final grade. I had a special experience, as a result of which I acquired new knowledge and discovered skills that I did not even think I possessed, I met people worthy of admiration, from whom I learned a lot: time management, facing difficulties, maintaining interest throughout the process of developing an individual research (Corpus of Thrilling Novels), until completion. I decided earlier this semester to continue my student internship with the CODHUS team and I strongly recommend it.”

    About Ariana:

“I chose to continue my internship along with the CODHUS team to carry on with developing my communication and digital research skills, but also to gain some new skills and let myself grow in this field. Last but not least, I want to continue my internship so I can keep on working with this team because it was a wonderful experience. For individual research, I chose to work on the topic of educational vloggers and influencers who make informative content on the Youtube platform about the baccalaureate exam. Also, in my research project I tried to identify which vlogger has more impact on the public, their approach when it comes to the way they put out the information and the vocabulary that they use.”
