8-9 December 2022: Digital Linguistics Week @ CODHUS – Guest lectures and workshops
Digital Linguistics Week @ CODHUS took place on 8-9 December 2022, gathering a series of events organized together with the Faculty of Letters, History and Theology, and the Department of International Relations (West University of Timișoara).
On December 8th, our CODHUS/LIT guest lecture was Prof. Dr. Dragoș Ciobanu, from the Centre of Translation Studies, University of Vienna. The subject of the lecture was Neural Machine Translation – Problems and Solutions.
On December 9th, Dr. Alina Secară held a lecture within Romanian Diaspora@WUT Guest Lectures/Workshops (initiative developed by the Department of International Relations). Furthermore, a workshop discussed issues related to the accessibility of the Romanian cultural environment: ACCESSOR – Media and Cultural Sector – Practices, Needs and Innovation in Romania.
Members of LIT (teaching staff and researchers) and of the wider academic community from Timisoara (and not only) participated in the lecture, along with students interested in the topics discussed.
